Announcing our 'Name the Mascot' Winners!

Wanda Howell of Paradise and Greg Smith of Mount Pearl are our 'Name the Mascot' winners. Both suggested the name of splash, and we thank them for personalizing our special lady bird!

Both winners will receive the use of a cooler for a year, as well as home delivery of our 18L products.

What could be a better mascot for any Newfoundland company than the puffin? Our provincial bird entrances us all. Some of us are attracted to the alert look in their eyes, some intrigued by their incredible survival capabilities and some of us – let’s face it ! – just think they're beautiful.

The puffin thrives in the Newfoundland and Labrador marine climate. Our rugged coasts are home to 95 per cent of the world’s puffins. They raise their families on our rocky shores, and make their living – as it were – from our oceans.

They’re intelligent, hard-working, resourceful – and always ready to spark a smile. For all these reasons, the puffin is our provincial bird – and the Discovery Springs mascot too!
